| It is hard to believe that we have been streaming General Conference for 10 years now. When we started back in 1999 in Nashville, TN, we began with an ISDN line and a few computers at stage left. This year, for the first time, we will be streaming in wide screen format. Your viewing enjoyment will be at better quality than we have ever offered before. | |
You can expect great quality from our Flash streams. In our testing of the live stream the other day, it was amazing to see the clarity and fluid motion at 300k. Of course, you will be able to enjoy the live streams and we will archive them for you so you can get the video on demand when you are able to view it (for aproximately 2 weeks following conference). This format appeals to our mac users especially as they often have had trouble with WMV. |
|
And back again this year, is the Windows Media Streaming format. Offering this format and flash streams gives you more options. While many are enjoying the switch to Flash, we are keeping this format around for those of you that enjoy it's flexability. When you upgrade your streams, you are not bound to one or the other. You can actually use either one as you wish. |

| Live streaming is made possible by advertising, and your support. By upgrading to higher bandwidth streams you help us afford to do this for everyone. We also offer several advertising options on upci.com. Feel free to check them out and contact us if you are interested. Your generous giving allows all of our missionaries to receive a free higher bandwidth viewing and pays the costs of providing this service for all. | |
We look forward to you joining us online beginning next Wednesday night. We hope you will help us spread the good news by passing this email along to someone who might be blessed by attending the conference online.
The drama on Wednesday night (September 30th) will be our first service streamed live. See the conference schedule on the General Conference site. Every service will be on upci.com live according to the schedule. (CST) Every year we are blessed to hear about people who receive the Holy Ghost while watching the services online. We love to hear these good reports from you. IT Department |
